Assessments

Assessments are carried out in-house by our trained medical staff.  Our team of leading professional practitioners has experience in a wide range of disciplines and where necessary we can refer patients on to other specialists outside the Centre.

Location and accessibility

Located accross dubai, MediCentres is easy to reach and benefits from extended opening hours - allowing your staff to have appointments outside of their normal working hours.  For companies with larger staff numbers or where it is more convenient, we can also provide some of our services on-site.

One-to-one consultations

Consultations are carried out on a one-to-one basis and reports can be provided on the same day. Patient information is shared by practitioners, but all records remain confidential to the Centre.

Costs

Our GP and nursing services offer excellent value for money. Corporate clients can choose to have services invoiced weekly or monthly depending on individual needs, costs for on-site services can be negotiated, dependent on volume.

All our practitioners are highly experienced in their own fields. Costs for their services reflect their reputations and experience and are in line with United Arab Emirate prices.

Corporate Health Services

GP Services

We offer the advantage of local, convenient GP services for you and your employees. In addition to considerable time savings, this allows many conditions to be treated early, before they have a chance to develop into more complex problems.

Initial appointments with our GP require a minimum of 15 minutes, thereafter 30, 45 or 60 minute appointments can be arranged. Where necessary we can refer on to other practitioners and specialists either within or outside the Centre.

Health Assessments

We carry out a range of comprehensive health assessments which incorporate a wide range of tests specifically targeted to the needs of individuals. These tests are split into age groups and can include extra tests as required.

We suggest that those under forty should be tested every two to three years, those between forty and fifty every two years and thereafter annually.  After the assessment the doctor will write to the patient with a copy of the results and personalized feedback and guidance. There is a further opportunity to review the assessment outcomes with the doctor by appointment at an additional consultation fee.

Pre-Employment Service

The practice of screening new employees before they join a company is now becoming widespread. It is a cost effective and easy method of medically assessing a new joiner to find out if they are fit to carry out the role assigned to them.

We provide a health screening service for new employees which takes the form of a detailed pre-employment questionnaire which can be sent electronically or in hard copy.  The results are assessed by our doctor and if a referral for further assessment is requested by the doctor, a 30 minute assessment will be arranged at MediCentres.

If your company protocol requires potential employees of a certain level or age to be seen for a pre-employment medical assessment, a standard pre-employment medical can be arranged. Further additional tests can be incorporated into the assessment as required.

Flu Vaccinations

If your company has 15 or more employees, we can provide on-site flu vaccination services, normally between October and December. The cost is on a per person basis and may include doctor traveling costs. Any employee not available on the allocated day on-site may visit the Centre and be added to the company invoice.

If a company has less than 15 employees, arrangements can be made with the Practice Manager to visit MediCentres on an individual basis.  A monthly invoice can be arranged.

Travel Vaccination Service

We have access to the latest information on travel vaccines and can provide up to date medical advice on travel to your employees. A 20 minute appointment is required for an initial travel consultation. If vaccines are up to date and only top up vaccines are required, and we have a previous appropriate medical history on file, we can arrange a 15 minute consultation.

On Site Health Assessments

We can organize on-site health assessment sessions for a minimum of 5 employees. This 30 minute nurse based assessment includes height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis, lung function, fasting glucose and cholesterol testing (finger prick test) and a short questionnaire review.

Other Services

We have a range of other services including a team of children’s health paediatricians, nutritionists, sports, deep tissue and aromatherapy and pregnancy massage, reflexology, homeopathy and a pilates studio which is useful for stress relief, strength and rehabilitation programmes.

A company may wish to provide a contribution to any of our services and treatments for their employees, alternatively employees can arrange and pay for these services on an individual basis.

Health Awareness Days

In conjunction with MediCentres and Fitness teams, we can provide advice and demonstrations to your company as part of your own company health awareness plan. Please ask for further information.

Work related Stress and Absenteeism

The problems of stress and absenteeism in the workplace are growing. As with other medical conditions, it is vitally important that the responsible corporate organization takes action to provide help and support. Our team has specialized in this particular area offering help and practical strategies to address issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, changes in work/life circumstances, work/life balance and the effect on relocation of employees within the UK and abroad.

Services include counseling on a one-to-one basis.  We can also deliver tailor made seminars and workshops on-site using various tools and techniques with our contemporary Psychotherapist/Life Coach team. Our Counsellor also provides one-to-one services and on-site executive coaching.

MediCentres practitioners offer:

An integrated medical team under one roof covering a wide range of services from GP services, paediatrics, dentistry, gynaecology, diabetes/endocrinology, obesity surgery, urology, orthopaedics, rhemuthalogy to nutrition and a 24 hour pharmacy.

One database for all practitioners to record patient notes and treatments.  This improves the communication between practitioners and reduces time spent asking for duplicate information from our patients, and builds a better diagnostic and information profile for each patient.

MediCentres is primarily concerned about giving you choices, and is based on principles of integration.  This means all of our practitioners know each other, value and understand each other's expertise and regularly meet to evaluate cases, regarding each other as contributing colleagues instead of competitors.
